#HumansOfCatolica: Roxanne Santos
“I believe that my experience in Catolica defined the person and professional I am today. Although I am Portuguese, I had never lived in Portugal before university and at 18 years old I found myself embracing the challenges of life on my own. That alone, made me grow at a faster pace.
In Catolica, I developed my knowledge, my capacity of hard work and resilience and what I believe is most important: a great soft skills set. I also created beautiful and fun memories in the marvellous city of Lisbon and made lifetime friends with whom I still keep in touch weekly after 8 years of living abroad.
Today, at 30 years old I call Dubai my 4th home, working as Trade Marketing Manager for a UAE-based international FMCG group with 12,000 employees. For the past 4 years in UAE, I have been working with many different countries and diverse cultures such as Indian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Lebanese, Filipino, Saudi, Turkish, and so on, and it has been a huge contributor of my growth on both personal and professional levels.
I cannot wait to see where life will take me but I am so grateful for my past and present.”
